Welcome Officers and Cadets,

The Emergency Services Training Academy is a Washington Wing Civil Air Patrol training facility, located in Ephrata, WA.
There are many missions that the ESTA training accomplishes, all of them ranging from the start of Emergency Services to Aerospace Education that cadets and seniors may not have available to them at their squadrons.
The first mission of the ESTA facility is to train officers and cadets to professionally serve as mission base or field personnel in the event of a Search and Rescue or National Incident.
Another mission for this facility is to guide and instruct cadets to prepare them to serve their community, state, and nation. Cadets are the future leaders of the Civil Air Patrol and this nation. It is our responsibility at ESTA to give them the knowledge and training required to become a leader in their chosen fields.

The third mission for the ESTA facility is to educate our officers, cadets and the general public in Aerospace.

The current months training available will be posted on the Forum. This will include other classes available for Officers, including: Specialty Track, SLS, CLC, TLC and more.
It is expected that cadets and officers that attend ESTA are there for a couple of reasons: to learn and have fun doing so. This is not just some place to go for a weekend once a month. Proper conduct is expected, as it should be at all times.
ESTA is in session every 3rd Saturday and Sunday of the month, with no sessions being ran in July and August due to Flight Encampment and Basic Encampment. Cadets and Officers check in on Friday evening and begin work immediately honing their skills with intense classroom and field work.

Unfortunately, classroom size is limited so if you are attending for only a single class, please be flexible and have a second picked out.

ESTA Executive Officer – 1Lt Scott Dehlbom
will need to know by Wednesday the week of ESTA the total number of people from each squadron that will be in attendance. This will ensure that all attendees have ample food, lodging and instructors. Squadrons should appoint a representative to call or e-mail Lt Holbrook and give her the required information.

I will be dedicated to the idea that all attending ESTA will have a comfortable learning environment, with skilled instructors and excellent food. Having fun, while still using Customs and Courtesies, and learning will be a requirement of all attendees.
