o Responsible for setting the editorial direction of the magazine and ensuring Wing public affairs goals are met. o The editor-in-chief will communicate these goals to the other WAWG Evergreen staff, helping to plan editorial calendars. o Ensures (legislative and other) comp list addresses are kept up to date and provided to publisher. o Will also ensure editorial vision or brand creates an audience attractive to advertisers.
o Applicant manages the workflow of a magazine, creating a list of each magazine’s feature, column and department stories and other editorial. o Assigns articles and gives deadlines and word counts. o Contacts all Evergreen staff and writers (fellow wing members) before material is due to ensure they are on schedule. o Make arrangements to fill the void for any articles not submitted on time. o Supervises the Editors.
o Applicants work to develop the editorial flow of each issue, working with the other editors to finalize specific stories, angles and sources. o May or may not write articles, but assists in reviewing all articles for content before they are published.
o Responsible for bridging technology gaps between members and the publisher. o Applicants must have knowledge of cloudshare services. o Will ensure Wing Evergreen website is kept timely. o Will post digital versions of releases to site and distribute to members. |
