Major Clay D. Amann

Cadet Programs Development Officer

Maj. Clay Amann is the Deputy Director of Cadet Programs Civil Air Patrol at Washington Wing Headquarters on McChord

Field, Joint Base Lewis-McChord. He is responsible under the Director for the management of Cadet Programs and direction of all functions related to the implementation of the CAP Cadet Program for the wing. Major Amann also serves as the Commandant of Cadets for Washington Wing Cascade Falcon Encampments, where he is responsible for the supervision of the overall encampment curriculum, cadet training, and leadership and discipline of the cadet corps.

Joining as a Cadet in May 2004, he became a member of Green River Composite Squadron in Auburn, Washington. He graduated from Cascade Falcon IX Basic Encampment on North Fort Lewis as a Cadet Airman in 2004, and after advancing through the Cadet Program in January 2010 he earned the coveted General Carl A. Spaatz Award (#1750), which is the highest achievement in the CAP Cadet Program and earning him the grade of Cadet Colonel. He also represented the United States as part of the International Air Cadet Exchange to the United Kingdom and served as a member of the National Cadet Advisory Council. Major Amann is active in the field of architecture and design in the greater Seattle area. Prior to his current duty assignment, Major Amann was the Deputy Commander for Cadets at Green River Composite Squadron and Cadet Programs Officer for the West-Central Group.
