Activity Location:  Camp Robert L. Boucher (CRLB), Ephrata Municipal Airport in Ephrata, WA

The Washington All Mission Academy Executive Board is seeking a highly experienced CAP Leader to directly

oversee the creation and operation of a new CAP mission-driven training and activities program at Camp

Robert L. Boucher (CRLB) based at Ephrata Municipal Airport. The Washington All Mission Academy (WAMA)

is the central wing training activity/facility.

WAMA Mission Statement:

    The Washington All Mission Academy serves as the principal year-round Washington Wing

    training facility and associated cadre devoted to conducting and supporting quality training,

    exercises, evaluation, and certification of CAP members in aerospace education, cadet programs

    and emergency services, to ensure consistent excellence in overall mission readiness and

    performance.

Description:

The WAMA Director (WAMAD) is responsible to the WAWG Commander and the WAMA Executive Board for

the successful creation and safe operation of WAMA, according to the stated mission and the following:

  • Responsible for building from the successes of Washington Wing’s legacy ESTA program by creating a vital three-mission-driven academy that both directly operates monthly training and also facilitates and supports the conduct of training and activities by WAWG directorates, groups, and squadrons.
  • Responsible for maximizing the use of CRLB to ensure its financial solvency while providing and supporting the best possible training for all members attending training and activities.
  • Responsible for selecting and organizing the CAP volunteer staff necessary to be successful. Please review the WAMA Org Chart attached below.
  • Responsible for program administration, necessary reporting, and adherence to CAP regulations.
  • Responsible for the integration of CAP’s core values in everything WAMA does.
  • Responsible for the integration of ICS principles whenever possible in the administration and operation of WAMA.
  • Other duties as determined by the WAWG Commander and WAMA Executive Board.

Suggested qualifications and experience for this position should include:

  • History of demonstrated exceptional leadership in position(s) of significant responsibility.
  • Excellent personal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of CAP regulations and WAWG policies.
  • Understanding of CAP staff functions and responsibilities.
