The Wing Airborne Photography Training
Officer is assigned to the Wing Operations Section, overseen by the Director
of Operations. This position reports
directly to the Operations Training Officer.
Duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to the
following:
Responsibilities:
● Establish
plans, policies, and procedures necessary to the fulfillment of the CAP
mission, which are not in conflict with the directives of higher
headquarters.
● Conduct
training exercises and evaluations for new and recurring AP qualifications.
● Ensure
safety of personnel and equipment through compliance with directives and
policy guidance; ensure an effective safety awareness, education, and
inspection program within the unit.
● Deliver
current and quality training to members of the Washington Wing.

At the time you
are assigned as training officer you must:
· Have completed Level 2
● Have
completed GES Basic
● Be
SET in the Aerial Photographer qualification.
● Be
safety education current
● Possess
enthusiasm for CAP
This
position is open to any WAWG member who meets the qualifications and is not
limited to members currently assigned to Wing Headquarters.
If
selected, it will not be necessary to transfer membership to Wing Headquarters,
unless desired. An Additional Duty
assignment will be made to the member’s current Duty Assignment within the
home unit.
