The Wing Information Technology Officer reports to the Wing
Chief-of-Staff and is responsible for ensuring
that the corporation objectives, policies, and operational directives are
effectively executed within the Wing.
Responsibilities include,
but are not limited to:
· Manage and direct the Washington Wing
Information Technology (IT) programs.
· Serve as the wing Web Security Administrator
(WSA) responsible for assigning and editing permissions for assigned
members.
· Ensure that Operational Security (OPSEC), Information
Security (INFOSEC), virus definition and appropriate software updates are
performed in a timely manner.
· Develop and implement wing IT policies and
procedures in support of CAP's missions.
· Develop and implement training programs for
members to ensure efficient use of all IT assets.
· Oversee the development and maintenance of
the wing website.
· Submit IT feedback and suggested
improvements of information systems to higher headquarters on a quarterly
basis.
· Assist the commander in generating
up-to-date measurable performance data extracted from available information
systems.
· Mentor unit Information Technology Officer
(ITOs) with their duties and responsibilities.
· Assume responsibility for the maintenance and/or upgrading of
hardware and software applications, located at Wing Headquarters or other
Wing facilities.
At the time you are
assigned this position you must:

completed Level 2 with a Technician Level in Specialty Track 227
·
be
familiar with CAPR 120-1
·
be
Safety Education current at all times
·
have
the ability to lead and work with a team
·
possess
excellent communications skills

enthusiasm for CAP
