The Assistant Plans and Programs Officers assist
with coordination of overall planning of activities and events. Four (4) positions are designated for the following
tasks: (1) Activities (2) Special Events (3) Activity
Calendar Manager and (4) Safety/Legal Liaison. They shall assist with:

Developing plans for
and monitoring the overall implementation of special projects and programs as
directed by the commander and higher headquarters.

Interpret laws, policy
statements, directives, regulations, and other communications received from
higher headquarters and integrate their requirements and guidance into plans
and programs.
·
Assist in the
development of operational plans and programs when requested.
·
Add/Delete/Confirm/Revise
the Wing Calendar with activities submitted to the Activity Submission System.
·
Bridge the gap of
communications between Project Officers, Legal, and Safety Officers, by
ensuring any revisions required from these departments are made known to the
Project Officers.
·
Other related tasks as
required or assigned.
The Assistant Plans
and Programs Officer should be familiar with the Civil Air Patrol Constitution
and Bylaws, and all policy matters relating to planning activities and special
projects
At
the time you are assigned to these positions you must:
- Have
completed Level II
- Have completed Cadet Protection
Training – Basic Course
- Possess excellent
organizational skills
- Be safety education current
- Possess an enthusiasm for CAP
